Latest Moves

Today Sammy assumed the push-up position. She's been able to get into crawl position for a while, but she gets frustrated that she can't go anywhere. This is what happened when she tried to push forward today.

Rolling Over

Sammy appears to be a much bigger fan of rolling from her back to her tummy than the other way around. I've had no trouble catching her on video. I have yet to film her rolling the other way even though I've tried several times. Enjoy!

And because I think it's cute, here's Sammy watching herself. he he

5 Months

Miss Samantha is now 5 months old! She celebrated by rolling from her back to her tummy for the first time yesterday. She'd been rolling over to her side for quite a while, but she finally figured out how to get all the way over. She's also starting to be more mobile. She can push up almost to a crawl position and then she either falls down or pushes herself backwards. She can make it a couple of feet before I notice and move her back onto her blanket. I guess it's time to baby proof the living room!

Sammy always wakes up in a such a good mood. She hangs out on the floor while I'm eating my breakfast and is adorably crazy. I snapped a picture this morning. I hadn't attempted to brush her hair yet, so you're getting the full effect of what we wake up to.

So Much Going On

Sometimes it seems like Sammy is growing and changing right in front of our eyes. Her hair is getting longer and longer, so I'm experimenting with ways to keep it under control. I tried barrettes, but she got really mad while I was trying to put them in. I found these headbands that look adorable but don't stay on for long. The search continues!

In between bouts of teething she's been working on sitting up. The boppy is perfect for cushioning her falls when she topples over. She looks like she's not quite sure what to think of her new vantage point in his picture.

Finally, Samantha was delighted to finally figure out how to make the music play on her bouncy chair. Luckily I don't find the song too annoying (yet, ha ha).
